Background
Ian joined Mackenzie Partnership in March 2003 and was the Executive Director of James R Knowles Ltd, Construction Contracts Consultants who have numerous offices in the UK plus offices in Australia, Brunei, Cairo, Canada, Cyprus, Dubai, Republic of Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore,Spain, Malaysia, Bangkok, Thailand, Taiwan and the USA.
In addition to his status as a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors he has a number of other qualifications and memberships which make him one of the leading authority figures on contract in Scotland. These are:
- Associate of the Chartered Institution of Arbiters (1984)
- Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Arbiters (1987)
- Appointed to the Institution of Arbiters Panel of Arbiters (1987)
- Member of the Scottish Council for Arbitration (1989)
- Member of the British Academy of Experts (1990)
